Maxing Your Massage Benefits
As we near the end of the year, you may be close to maxing your massage benefits if you use your personal health insurance. For most insurance plans massage therapy falls under the Rehabilitation Benefit. This means that if you are getting any other rehab service such as Physical Therapy or even in some cases Chiropractic, these services may be counting toward your annual maximum of allowed visits.
So, as most insurance plans run on a “calendar year”, meaning your visits will reset at the new year, you’ll want to call your insurance company to see if you are close to maxing your benefits to avoid any unexpected bills. Please note that though our office does a courtesy benefit check when you become a patient, we do not keep track of how many visits have been charged to your insurance, for this info you will have to call your insurance company.
Should you max your benefits, we do have other options. We do offer Wellness Massages at all our locations. These are not treatment-based massages but can help to get you through the rest of the year! If you foresee yourself coming often, we have package options available, I’ll list those at the end of the post. You can also find upcoming sales posted in our offices as well as on our social media accounts and email newsletter.
We hope you enjoy the upcoming holiday months!
