She was encouraged to be a healer by her grandparents and loves being a massage therapist so that she can help others in their healing process. The natural silica in the heated bamboo restores soft tissue by increasing cellular activity to repair and intensely nourish the skin. Gua Sha releases toxins from scar tissue allowing new blood into stagnant areas of the body so you can be replenished and heal.

Kayla graduated from Massage School in 2017. She always knew she wanted to do something in the medical field. She has a passion for anatomy, physiology and the human body. She originally went to EVCC and completed all her prerequisites for nursing school in 2015-2016. Before applying she decided that she wanted a profession that would allow flexibility for a family yet still have the medical aspect she loves. That’s when Massage therapy came to mind. She enjoys the variety that massage offers and the age range you can help. Kayla likes adapting the massage to everyone’s individual needs and goals, and believes that less is more. You can fully affect the muscles and relieve them without needing to go deep and have lots of pressure. During a session she visualizes muscles as an experiment she used to do with cornstarch when she was a child. She visualizes the cornstarch and how if you hit it hard you don’t get anywhere, but if you approach it slowly you sink in deeper and deeper. Kayla enjoys doing Swedish massage, myofacial release and trigger point therapy. Continuing education is a passion of hers, refining her skills and being introduced to new massage modalities.
